Wednesday's Women of Influence

If you have been in ministry or church circles for any length of time, odds are you have been influenced by these two women. Nancy Beach and Nancy Ortberg have had an amazing amount of influence in recent years and I am so excited about the “Gifted to Lead” workshop that they are hosting at Willow Creek in August.

Gifted to Lead: The Art of Leading as a Woman in the Church is described as:

This event, the day before The Leadership Summit at the Willow Creek campus, is designed especially for women with spiritual gifts and abilities in leadership. This interactive forum encourages intentional development as you interact with and learn from others who also want to develop and use their God-given gifts on behalf of His work through the local church.

I am registered and ready to go! I am so excited about hearing these two influential ladies speak to this issue that I am so passionate about.

I would love to know:

1) How have the Nancys influenced you?

2) Are you going to “Gifted to Lead”?

SO SO Interesting that you asked because I have a manuscript of Nancy’s new book “Gifted to Lead” and its AMAZING so far. Zondervan asked if I would read it and review it. I’m sending it to you asap as soon as I’m finished. You are going to love it.

Well, Nancy Beach has influenced me as a Worship Pastor in many ways. Her book, “An Hour on Sunday” was remarkable from the arts point of view. I sat in her classes last year at the Arts Conference which occurred during a very low point in my ministry life. She had asked for questions via email and mine was a doozy. She very kindly has done several phone appts as I processed through the situation I found myself in. Her personal touch was just what I needed at that time.

Sadly, I will not be attending this event. I desperately want to attend but it is literally right after I go back to work from my current sabbatical. I am very disappointed.
