Tagged & More Answers

Ladybird tagged me today which worked out quite nicely because I picked 6 random questions from Thursday’s post to respond to.  Multi-tasking at it’s best!

Here are the rules:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 6 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
4. If you’re tagged, DO IT and pass on the tag.

#1 – Jared Woodard asked:

How did you and your husband meet? (Every man on your blog has a man crush on him! ) :O

The random thing that you probaby don’t know about me is that I had absolutely no plans to get married until I was at least 30.  I was all about career.  No need for romance.  But then in walks Merlyn Catron.  We met my freshman year of college.  He was a senior.  I still wasn’t interested even though every girl on campus threw themselves at him.  We were in a lot of music classes and choirs together and then both were in the cast for Fiddler on the Roof during my sophomore year.  We finally started dating the end of that year and got married 3 years later… yeah, I was 22 (2 weeks from 23).

No comment on the man crushes. 🙂

#2 – LadyBird asked:

Where are you from? Where did you go to school?

I was born in a very small town in northern Wisconsin called Rhinelander – population a whopping 8,000!  I lived in various small towns in that area through high school.  Attended Bryan College in Dayton, TN for the first two years of college.  I was ultimately Nashville bound because I wanted to work in the music business but landed at Bryan because it was a small enough school that I felt comfortable moving so far away.  Came to Nashville two years later for an internship at ForeFront Records, landed a job, worked there for 9 years and finished my bachelor’s degree at MTSU while I was working full-time.

# 3 – Mike Gothard asked:

Which superhero (-oine) are you most like? What are your superpowers?

I have no idea.  A random fact about me is that I don’t enjoy cartoons or sci-fi stuff.  If it’s not real or have the potential to be real, I’m not interested.  I rarely watched cartoons as a kid, only if my sister insisted – which she did often because she loved cartoons!  I honestly don’t know enough about superheros to know which one I would be most like.

#4 – JudiFree asked:

Do you sing?!?!

You might have picked this up about me in question #1, but yes.  I have loved singing since I was a kid.  I think I had my own stereo with 8 track tapes and LPs before I was even 5 years old… and I knew how to work it all.  I had an uncle that taught me voice and piano lessons and would literally tell me 5 minutes before the Sunday night church service that I was singing the “special music” that night.  Singing is more of a hobby for me than a great gift or passion, but if you were a fly on the wall in our house you would think you had walked into a musical – my husband is an amazing vocalist so we have been known to sing conversations to each other. 🙂

#5 – senordinger asked;

Whats your Favorite Food?

Pizza – no contest.  I could eat it every meal… however I am VERY particular about what I like.  My favorite toppings are green olives and tomatoes.  Don’t overdue the cheese, lots of red sauce, don’t undercook it and must eat it hot, very hot.  Can’t stand soggy delivery pizza!

#6 – Jimmy Holt asked:

How do you happen to be a member of Junior League?

Yes, it is true.  I was a member of the Junior League of Nashville for three years, however I resigned this year (in good standing for those that are concerned) because I couldn’t commit the necessary time and energy to it.  I joined The League when I came on staff at Cross Point because I wanted to be a part of something besides just church.  Since work and church life were combining at that time I wanted to be sure that I created a place where I could network with unbelievers on a consistent basis, and at the same time support an organization that was contributing to the community.

So let’s tag:

Carmen

Julie

Lori
