I love Sundays!
Sundays are always a fun day for me. I love seeing our staff all actively involved in doing what they love! Seeing them shine in the various ministries they serve in is awesome. In addition to that I get to connect with so many people each weekend… from old friends to faithful volunteers to brand new faces walking through the doors, I love the chance to chat with so many people.
Today was another great day at Cross Point at both the Nashville and Dickson campuses. In Nashville, we had an awesome worship set which included my favorite worship song “From the Inside Out”. I can still remember the first time I heard this song. It was at the Catalyst Conference 2006. The words still move me everytime I hear it because it’s such a vulnerable display of transparency and desire to put God first. I know I have a long way to go, but this is one of those songs that reminds me of just how passionately I need to pursue my relationship with God daily. If you are not familiar with it, here are the lyrics.
“From the Inside Out” by Hillsong United
Album: United We Stand (2006)
A thousand times I’ve failed
Still your mercy remains
Should I stumble again
I’m caught in your grace
Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fades
Neverending, your glory goes beyond all fame
Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise
In my heart and my soul, Lord
I give you control
Consume me from the inside out, Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love you from the inside out
What’s your favorite worship song?
I love this song also! I can only hope that people truly understand how amazing it is to lose yourself in praising God! Its amazing to me that we forget that God loves us from the inside out, he know us better then we know ourselves. If only we can try to remember that and come to him daily not just on sunday to give all control to him!
