Sunday Highlights

It was another great day at Cross Point yesterday!  We are continuing to have record attendance each weekend.  As a result we are investigating options for a third service.  At this point it’s not really a matter of if we’ll do a third service, it’s about what time.  We’ve talked about adding a 12:30 p.m. service or doing a Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.  I suspect that we’ll make a decision this week.  Just need wisdom about selecting a time that will work for attendees but not put too great a burden on our volunteers and staff – be praying for that!

Pete‘s message was powerful!  He talked about the importance of finding our passion and using it to make a difference in the world.  I was personally very motivated and challenged.  You can listen to the message on our website at  http://www.crosspoint.tv/series/index.html.  We finished the service with the Foo Fighters song “Best of You” – an intensely powerful way to reinforce giving our best for God’s glory.

I finished my Sunday with the start of my new women’s small group.  I haven’t done a women’s group in awhile and I’ve been so excited about this because I only knew four of the women who signed up for my group.  It was so exciting to meet the others, many of them are new to Cross Point in the last few months.  We are going to be studying Canvas: Mystery which is one of the small group Bible studies that we have done in conjunction with Serendipty House publishers.  The study uses some of Pete’s teaching videos and builds  small group discussion and questions from it.  I’m anxious to see how it plays out in a small group setting.

Your woman’s group sounds awesome, Jenni. As always, I am sure you will do a great job!
