Setting the tone
Leadership notes from my journal…
“As a leader you set the tone/atmosphere for the enviroments where you lead. If you are high strung, stressed out, nervous or even complacent, the others around you will reflect the tone you set.”
I mess this up all the time!

Oh – I couldn’t agree more with you! I saw this happen all the time when I was a manager (pre kids, of course!). I also think this can apply in so many areas of our life, too. Sometimes we don’t realize the effect we can have on a conversation or relationship. And you are not alone – I mess this up too!
Actually, as I read your quote I thought to myself, “Jenni does such a great job of always appearing calm and collected regardless of situation.” Thanks for being such a great example of women in leadership. It is such an important lesson to remember, because the atmosphere I create so directly effects my three boys and my husband too!
