The Cross Point Serve!

I was reflecting this week on just how proud I am of the people at Cross Point.  I love how this community gives and serves in so many amazing ways.

Today 19 Cross Pointers will return from a week-long mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  They have served the people of Santiago by physically helping to construct a feeding center and church as well as hosting a VBS for children, serving food to children and loving on the people of this city.

And while these guys have been playing in concrete 🙂 , those of us back home at both the Nashville and Dickson campuses brought back boxes and bags full of supplies and back-to-school items for the community of Wheelright, KY, an impoverished region that we as a church have committed to serving and helping.

All of this was collected and will be delivered to Wheelright in the coming weeks.  The bags are full of toiletries and general household necessities and each box will go to a specific child and includes clothing and other back-to-school items.  I can’t wait to see the faces of these individuals when they receive this outpouring of gifts!

Thank you, Cross Point, for being a community of people that so tangibly shows the love of Christ!

I love seeing that room full of boxes and supplies. It reminds me of last year when our church took part in operation Christmas Child. Congratulations on an awesome job.
