Women Who Influence Me

I usually reserve my Wednesday post to highlight a woman who is influencing or has influenced women in ministry or culture, but today I want to highlight the friends who influence me on an ongoing basis.

My Life-Long Friend

Jes, my sister.  She has put up with me since the day she was born and she still loves me.  She may be my ‘baby’ sister or ‘Miss Jenni with the black hair’ (as one precious little Wilson called her), but she is an amazing woman with tremendous gifts and passions who inspires me daily and makes me laugh often.

The Golden Girls

Rachel, Sus, Shelby and I have been friends for over 10 years.  Few friends know you this long and still love you.  I’m thankful!

My Daily Friend

Ash spends nearly every day with me in some capacity.  She assists me at work and still wants to hang out with me on the weekend!  She’s a true friend with amazing grace, character and integrity.

My Cherished Friend

You’ve read before how much Brandi inspires me.  We have to work hard to catch moments to spend together amidst our crazy lives, but I cherish those moments so much.

The Friends Who Probably Don’t Know How Much They Mean To Me

Miranda, Eve, Holly (the anti-blogger), Marla & Chris – you girls are a constant strength and support to me even though the busyness of my world keeps me from connecting with you as often as I should.  I treasure each of you!

My Blogging Friends

Marla, Judi, Anne, Jan, Tam – I never expected to build true friendships through this medium, but I am truly blessed that I have!

There are so many more of you that are woven into this web.  You know who you are – know that I love you!

doesn’t making that list make you realize how blessed we are with the people that surround us?

Wow. You are blessed to have such a cloud of friends around you!

God has certainly been good to you, hasn’t He?

Yes, extremely blessed! It’s amazing how sometimes I forget this and find myself isolated and lonely… only because I’ve shut myself off from these dear friends.

Thank you Jenni, and you hold a special place in my heart, too. I can’t prove it because my memory is faulty at times, but I believe you were my very first internet only bloggy contact! And how amazing that I would be able to share an experience like Q so quickly after making that new friendship!

I appreciate your friendship and your Cross Point ministry more than you know. It is inspiring to watch a woman working in her sweet spot and making a difference in her world.

so thank you for being a part of it all jenni. YOU are a blessing!

Jenni, I am just now reading this and feel so blessed to be a part of your life. I love working with you, I love that our husbands are often two peas in a pod, I love that you have always been so honest with me about the good and often HARD times that have made you who you are.

Most of all I love being your friend and I appreciate you as well.

I just wanted to tell you how encouraging it is to read this post. It is easy to complain about women not getting a voice in our culture, but it contrast you are raising the voices of our day and bringing them to the front of the conversation. Thank you for being a leader in this pursuit. I am going to write a blog on the women that influence me in response to this…

  • Jenni Catron July 27, 2008

Crystal & Jeff – I’m so glad that you guys are going to use this idea to celebrate the women who influence you!

I’m a little slow on this blog thing, but am also REALLY greatful for YOUR influence and friendship!! I am also so glad to have yet another woman in my life that doesn’t put up with my husband’s shananagans!! Miss seeing you everyday at work.
