Enjoy the Journey!

My good friend Kat has done this thing called “The Daily Verse” for like 10 years or something crazy.  Each day a verse with her commentary comes to my inbox and it always amazes me how fitting it is for my day.  (God’s kind of crazy like that!)

Just thought I would share today’s verse:

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6

Kat’s Commentary:
God is doing something in you. If the going is tough, keep pressing forward. One way or other, the work He’s doing is going to get done, so your cooperation and willingness to play ball will only add to your joy and the end result according to His perfect design. Embrace the journey!

You can sign up for The Daily Verse HERE!

Are you impatient with the process right now?  Is God doing something in you that you wish would just be finished?  Hang on and enjoy the ride!

I love getting Kat’s Daily Verse! And that particular one hit me hard. Honestly, Jen, (and you know this) I’ve been in a funky season with some junk going on in my heart. And I haven’t been enjoying it. But I do believe that God’s working on me. And I believe He’s not giving up on me until He’s finished–just like Kat and Paul say. That’s been a major comfort during this season. I acknowledge that refining is usually painful, but how amazing is it that the God of the universe even WANTS to work on me?!

Great perspective @Ash – “the God of the universe even WANTS to work on me”. CRAZY!

I love this…sometimes it is easy to feel like I am just an ‘extra’ in this life….God has some great things for me when I really embrace Him and His vision for my life!

I signed up to receive those verses about two weeks ago, and that’s so funny that you talked about this one today, because it was so fitting for my day today that I wrote it out with her commentary and taped it to my computer screen. I want to embrace this journey that God is taking me on!

  • I signed up the day after the concert!!! I print the daily verse out and give one to Kyle and one to Kyla…. then I ask them at the end of the day to elaborate on it for me… then I tell them what it meant to me…

    I LOVE IT!!!!

Yes! I know I am following but know I am just “in process”. I am definitely impatient, but sometimes it’s the journey, not the destination that’s really important.
