This morning as I was getting ready for work, lost in my random musings… I found myself beginning to complain:
my thighs are disproportionately large
my shoulders are too broad
my hair is too frizzy
And then I quickly felt convicted because I’ve been told so many times how it must break God’s heart when we complain about our bodies since He made them. (Yeah, yeah, I know)
So that got me thinking…
I wonder what God’s original design and intention was for the human form?
Adam & Eve had to have had the perfect bodies since all that God created was “good” and was as He intended.
But because of the curse of sin, life is no longer as God originally planned… and I’m pretty sure that our bodies aren’t still projecting the perfection of the original design.
So I wonder…
As women we have a pretty good picture in our heads of what we THINK is the perfect body:
But I wonder if this comes anywhere close to God’s original design?
Is God kind of snickering at our attempts for perfect bodies?
What if our supermodel ideal is totally wrong?
