Cultivate Her

Cultive logo final

I’m excited to announce that one week from today I’m launching something that has been on my heart for years.

I’ve shared with you before that I feel like God has called and gifted me to lead leaders, however I feel that he’s also given me a responsibility to specifically encourage, support and empower other women leaders.  Honestly, I’ve battled that second part for some time now.  Pridefully I’ve wanted to be known as a great leader, not just a great female leader… so much so that I’ve been reluctant to niche myself specifically to females in leadership.

After continually battling this with God and then getting a swift kick in the pants from my sister who said “just do it already!”, I’m launching Cultivate Her.

Cultivate Her is a leadership environment where women are inspired, challenged and encouraged in their leadership growth.  No matter what your leadership influence looks like, your gifts will be cultivated to encourage you to embrace our motto “wherever you lead, lead well”!

Cultivate Her will be a monthly gathering in Nashville.  Our first event is:

Friday, September 11th

7:00-8:30 AM

The Cafe at Cross Point

If you are interested in joining us, you can RSVP HERE!

I need to say a BIG THANKS in advance to the Cultivate Her planning team that has toiled with me for months over this event.  Lindsey, Ashley, Hilda, Trisha, Sarah, Eve & Kat – I love you guys and am blessed to lead beside you!

**Logo design by TexaSUS Design.  Go check out her work – she’s amazing!

PS – The Cultivate Her website is still under construction.  I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s officially launched.

    So proud of you, JC, for stepping out in faith. I know you will do a great job of leading this as well as finding answers in the most unlikely places. Will pray for open doors and big enough windows to jump out of if necessary. 🙂

    @Heidi – don’t temp me with San Diego!! 🙂

    @Jessica Turner – I can’t wait for you to be a part!

  • Jenn September 4, 2009

    This is a great thing you are doing. I often think that without you (and Eve) I would have felt powerless and without a voice while I had to opportunity to lead. Your steady presence and encouragement were priceless to me not just as a leader but as a woman seeing to honor God. The women in this group will no doubt walk away feeling the same way!

    bring your raincoat and wellies (and bible…though we do have plenty here) 🙂

  • susan September 4, 2009

    while i realize the importance of being face-to-face for things such as this, all i have to say is: too bad that this is only in nashville.

  • Jenni Catron September 5, 2009

    @Jenn – thanks for your encouragement. It’s too far that early for you to come, huh? We’re looking at other time options for the future if it grows.

    @Susan – we’re considering webcasting for the future depending on involvement and interest. I’ll keep you posted through the blog!

    I’ll be remembering to pray over your launch tomorrow! How exciting for you, Jenni. And yes, do consider mogulus or something to multiply your reach! And dog gone it, I’m going to plan my next visit to Nashville around one of your events!

    You are kind of convicting me with the “pridefully, I wanted to be known as just a great leader” not necessarily a leader of women. I am right there in that pit with you. I’m not even sure I want to get out of that pit. I, too, feel myself resisting “women’s” events etc. because….well just because. I gotta wonder what I’ve turned my back on because of that? Or is it “just the way God made me?”
