Friday's Favorite Things

There are two things that have to happen before I can really get into the Christmas spirit each year:

1) The annual business meeting at Cross Point – my head is so wrapped up in year end numbers, new budgets and finishing strong that I can’t relax until we’ve had this meeting.

2) Baking Day with my sis. This is a new tradition that we started several years ago and it’s one of my favorite days each year.

See why?

Both of those things happened this week, so I’m officially in the Christmas spirit 🙂

Here are a few of my favorite things this week:

1) Free Music from Cross Point!

Our Cross Point Creative Team is offering the new Christmas song “Come and Worship”, written by our own Jarrod Morris, FREE!

Download the bundle which includes charts, lyrics and song here.

2) The Daily Verse Book

My great friend, Kat Davis, published the first volume of The Daily Verse and it’s my favorite gift book this year!

The Daily Verse is a collection of scripture passages from the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible, along with short, simple and real-life commentary from author, Kat Davis. The Daily Verse has been a free online subscription available via thedailyverse.com since March of 1999. Now, for the first time ever, some of your favorite entries are compiled into one volume along with space for your personal reflections, short essays from author Kat Davis and beautiful original artwork from esteemed artist, Elaine Nunnally.

You can order it HERE.

3) Gifts of Compassion Catalog

I’m such a fan of Compassion and I love this catalog!

A Gift of Compassion is the perfect gift alternative for your friends, family, co-workers and clients. No crowds, no lines, no stress – just a gift that will help make a difference in the life of a child living in one of the poorest communities of the world. Your gift will help provide clean drinking water, medical treatment, disaster relief, food supplies and much, much more for Compassion – assisted children and their families. Meet real needs and bring real joy with a Gift of Compassion.

This is a great way to give something meaningful to that person who is impossible to buy for.

You can browse the catalog HERE.
