Sunday Lessons

This is just a little glimpse of our day today at Cross Point(Photo thanks to Chris Surratt.)

This is a pic of a group of people who were baptized tonight at our Downtown Campus.  We celebrated over 50 baptisms today at our campuses and every single one of them is a powerful reminder of the beauty of the cross and the power of redemption.

Stories of life change just never get old!

In addition to a great worship service with communion, baptisms and each of our campus pastors teaching live at their campus inspiring us as we prepare for Easter, we also began testing all of our new equipment for the launch of our internet campus.  (Yea!) I have no idea how all this gear works, but I was excited to watch our staff and volunteers testing it and troubleshooting it all day long.  Their excitement made me smile.

The thought that comes to mind as I reflect on the day is this…

What’s true is still true even when I forget it.

Sometimes I lose touch with the power of changed lives.  I know, that’s terrible to admit right? But all it takes is one story, especially on baptism Sunday for me to remember the truth of the power of the cross.

Volunteers really do love to serve.  It’s easy for me to forget what it feels like to use my gifts as a volunteer.  Our volunteers serve crazy hours at Cross Point and oftentimes they are more excited and energetic than I am.  Watching our video and media volunteers gush with excitement over the new gear and the launch of our internet campus was so much fun today.

I’m thankful for today’s reminders of the truth of God’s work in people’s lives.

What truth do you have a tendency to forget?

I love how in forgetting truth you bring truth today. Praying for you this week, friend.

Jenni, you are so right! When real truth is presented, no matter the medium, lives are changed. Praise to the Lord for the lives Crosspoint has been used to change with His truth!
