Over-Thinking

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things

true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—

the best, not the worst;

the beautiful, not the ugly;

things to praise, not things to curse.

Philippians 4:8 The Message

I am a victim of my own mind sometimes.  I can easily lose site of the possibilities and the good around me because I anticipate every angle, every potential pitfall… every thing I can’t control.

I become paralyzed by the bad rather than motivated by the good.

Quit processing.

Quit over-thinking.

Quit allowing resistance to paralyze you.

Scripture commands us to think on the good.

So why is that so hard?

    Thanks for the reminder. ‘Paralysed by the bad rather than motivated by the good’ is where I can get myself too often.
