When You Get to the Letting Go

Control.

Direct.

Manipulate.

Maneuver.

Arrange.

Plan.

Organize.

We do these things all the time.

We’re always trying to create the outcomes that we want in life.

But inevitably, with nearly everything in life, there comes a point when you can no longer plan, control or manipulate the result.

There is always something beyond your control.

That’s when you get to the letting go.

How do you handle that moment?

Do you become…

Anxious?

Fearful?

Peaceful?

Angry?

Frustrated?

Numb?

Detached?

Can you surrender the uncontrollable to God?

What do you do when you get to the letting go?

I'm in a season of letting go both literally and figuratively. I've moved into a smaller space and for this pack rat that means a whole lot of letting go! I think its the beginning of something much deeper that is coming as I sense the Lord desiring to teach me to trust Him at an even deeper level. Thanks for sharing these words today.

Letting go can be difficult… but hardly impossible. I find that when I TRULY surrender a situation to God… there is peace. It's during the times when I'm still trying to control that there is anxiety, fear and frustration.

Letting go… brings freedom! Thanks for sharing…

What do I do when it's time to let go? I grip it tighter and whine quite a bit. It's really a rather unattractive quality. I'm finding that lately, I'm resembling the Israelites just after they left Egypt. God, help me to be satisfied…
