I'm digging Matthew Perryman Jones' new EP "Crash Bang Boom" for all the same reasons you're digging Sara Groves. Cool giveaway!
We're going through a lot right now so I've been listening to some old gospel songs from the CD, "Song's Mama Used to Sing". It's kind of like eating comfort food when I curl up with these old tunes.
Hope Rising – Fee Band
i am loving Gungor's "beautiful things" right now. the song by that same name is so perfect for my heart these days.
i'm stuck on misty edwards' arms wide open….but for an album i'm totally stuck on jesus culture's your love never fails—so many good songs. i so am a hit repeat girl π
I already have this CD, so I'm not entering to win. But I wanted to comment on how much I also love this album. Sara has been one of my favorites since her "Conversations" album first blew me away. She continues to take me deeper and challenge me with each release, and "Fireflies & Songs" is no exception. Good stuff! π
I have been listening to Tenth Avenue North..saw them at Winter Jam and they were amazing. I love Hold my Heart….incredible song.
I'm LOVING Passion "Awakening" right now–especially Christy Nockels's "Healing Is In Your Hands"–AMAZING!!
Listening to Matt Maher's "Alive Again" over and over and over. "Alive Again" and "Sing Over Your Children" are both in my heart!
I'm really hooked on Fee's "Hope Rising" and Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now"
It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a cd for myself. I end up listening to what my kiddos want. : ) Please enter me for a chance to win. Thank you!
Hope I am not too late to enter.
Andrew Peterson's Resurrection Letters Volume II
I always go back to "Just Because I'm a Woman – Songs by Dolly Parton". Great giveaway!
Hey, Jenni – A friend just gave me the Once soundtrack as well as turned me on to William Fitzsimmons, The Sparrow and the Crow. Living and loving both right now!
I'm definitely living with Jon Foreman's "Limbs & Branches" so far this year. I can't get enough of the opening song "Your Love Is Strong" to remind me of God's deep love for me and how much I need His daily bread. And "House of God, Forever" is the most simple rendition of Psalm 23 in everyday words and it also reminds me He's my provider. When turmoil is all around, these simple songs are keeping me rooted.
Passion "AWAKENING" is my favorite album right now. The more I listen, the more I love it.
Yeah! I haven't gotten any new Sara Groves in awhile! Love her though! Poke Bergstrom for me!
oooh! love her! have all her CDs, except this one =)
Brooke Waggoner's album called Heal For The Honey
Yes! That's such a good one.
I"m living with the new PAssion Awakening CD, it is full of heartfelt worship and I can almost hear the Holy Spirit singing with them. I also STILL can't put down Hillsong's FAITH, HOPE, LOVE! Such good stuff. Thankful that God wrote these tunes thru willing participants!
Seriously hope I'm not too late, but if so…that's ok. Adie Camp's latest cd is one I'm listening too. Oh, how I'm so loving the songs!!! Awesome!
I'm living with Brooke Fraser's CD "Albertine" – it wrecks me – in a good way. π Have always loved Sara Groves – excited about her new album!
Hey Jenni – just want to say what an inspiration you are and how I love your posts! Thanks – as for music there are so many that truly inspire me, but at the moment I am LOVING newworldson "There is a Way". The TRUTH and the LIFE and THE WAY. The One, the Only – Jesus Christ! π
I've been going through a lot lately and am focusing on God's redemptive nature. Have been listening to an older one, Jars of Clay's "Redemption."
I have 2! My first one is also Brooke Fraser’s album “Albertine.” Her lyrics are so poetic and thought-provoking, and her voice is like butter. I haven’t stopped listening since I got it!
Also, I am thoroughly enjoying NEEDTOBREATHE’s latest album, The Outsiders. Their lyrics, too, are very thought-provoking, and their southern rock musical style is so catchy! There isn’t a week song on the album! π
Sara Groves is amazin!…. but I am living with Kari Jobe's new live album.. Oh my lord good.
I love listening to my NewSpring Church (Wichita, KS) Live CD…. Great worship music, a lot like Cross Point….. Addison loves the song O Happy Day on there! We listen to it over and over!
Can't wait to check out some of the music you've all suggested!
We just found out I am pregnant!!! Woo hoo. So I read somewhere that it's good for babies to listen to classical music. So I've been listening to my classical playlist. Not only one composer though. Because seriously….that would make me crazy. All that piano and violin. But when you separate it all out and talk to your kid growing inside. Yeah….it's pretty awesome.
I LOVE new music……..however, I tend to stay STUCK on the old….believe it or not, I am actually "stuck" back on listening to my "SISTERS" CD from like 1992… its songs of fellowship for women and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it…. Music speaks to me and I know that's totally GOD!! xoxooxoxox
I don't usually download albums, but I can't get enough of Amy Grant's Better than a Hallelujah lately.
Ok I have been listening to Kirk Whalum's "The Gospel According to Jazz Chapter 1" Definitely hope to listen to chapters 2 & 3 sometime soon.
